Heathrow - there is a cheaper but slower way to get to Heathrow than by using the Heathrow Express. You have to buy 2 tickets, one from Paddington to Hayes & Harlington and then Hayes & harlington to Heathrow Connect.

nice tip cheers, what sort of saving would i receive doing it this way as the heathrow express is quite expensive and the last time i did it i checked in at paddington for my flight and they lost may bag.
how did they get the licence to run that service? i cant believe they arent regulated to provide a better service our are they?
Or you I guess you could take the tube!
You don't have to buy separate tickets - just make sure you specify "via Heathrow Connect". I did this at Paddington yesterday - cost £6.90, which is a useful saving on £15.50 (£14.50 online/£17.50 on train) via Heathrow Express. It was a comfortable journey and only took about 30 minutes.
How about services from other UK airports? Any more tips for them?
